Wade, Carter sit out Heat-Suns game

PHOENIX — The Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns are without two of their biggest stars.

Heat guard Dwyane Wade was out Thursday night because of a sore left knee. Vince Carter, one of Phoenix’s three new players, was out with the same problem.

Carter, who came to Phoenix in a six-player trade with Orlando on Sunday, has been bothered by a nagging injury that he worried earlier in the week might require surgery. He was relieved to learn surgery wasn’t needed, but isn’t sure when he’ll return.
